Explain the meaning of tampered shipment in the case of the Meesho seller. Do sellers get claims for tempered shipments?

Meesho recently changed the claim approval policy for sellers in August 2022.

With the implementation of the revised claim approval policy, the following shipments will be considered as Tampered Packaging:

· Damaged outer packaging

· Additional tape on the packet

· Shipment content mismatch

· Label looks tampered

Meesho will not be approving claims on returns/RTO where packaging is seen to have been tampered with. You are therefore requested to reject such shipments by 3PL field agents at the doorstep.

You should only accept the shipments which are intact or do not fall under the above definitions. You can raise a claim if there’s any issue in case of an intact shipment and a resolution will be provided based on our existing SOP.

NOTE:

1. Suppliers should clearly mention the reason for the rejection of tampered shipment in the POD. For e.g. ‘Rejected – tampered shipment – damaged outer packaging’, ‘Rejected – tampered shipment – content mismatch’, ‘Rejected – tampered shipment – additional taping’, etc.

2. All these rejected cases would be investigated and a resolution/refund will be provided based on the rejection reason mentioned by the supplier.

3. Suppliers should not misuse this policy to reject shipments which are in good condition. If a supplier is rejecting shipments without any valid reason, strict action will be taken against the supplier [If the 3PL provides us with evidence of policy abuse/misuse, all the concerned shipments will be disposed off and no refund will be processed for the same]

Tampered dikh rahe returns/RTOs ka claim aage se accept nahi kiya jayega.

Aap se request hai ki tampered shipments ko aap doorstep pe reject kar diya kare.

Jo shipments intact hai ya fir upar likhe hue points mein nahi aate hai, unko aap accept kijiye. Intact shipments mein kuch issue raha, to aap claim raise kar sakte ho and uska resolution existing SOP ke hisab se diya jayega.

  1. Suppliers se request hai ki wo tampered parcel ka rejection reasons POD pe properly mention kare. For e.g. ‘Rejected – tampered shipment – damaged outer packaging’, ‘Rejected – tampered shipment – content mismatch’, ‘Rejected – tampered shipment – additional taping’, etc.
  2. Saare rejected cases ka investigation karne ke baad, resolution/refund process kiya jayega POD pe likhe hue rejection reason ke basis par.
  1. Suppliers iss policy ka dur-upyog na kare. Agar koi bhi supplier valid reason ke wager shipments reject karte hai, to unpe strict action liya jayega. [Agar 3PL se humein koi aise policy abuse/misuse ka evidence milta hai, to saare concerned shipments ko dispose off kar diya jayega aur uspe refund nahi process kiya jayega]
