E-commerce in India started in the early 2000s, but it was not until the mid-2000s that it started to gain significant traction. Some of the early players in the Indian e-commerce market were sites like Rediff Shopping, IndiaPlaza, and Fabmart. However, it was the launch of Flipkart in 2007 that really kicked off the e-commerce boom in India.
Since then, e-commerce has grown rapidly in India, with many new players entering the market and established players expanding their operations. Today, e-commerce is a major industry in India, with a variety of players in different categories such as Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Myntra, and many others.
