Guide on how to check the trademark application status in India:
1. Visit the Official Website:
Go to the official website of the Intellectual Property India (IPO): http://www.ipindia.nic.in/
2. Select Trademarks:
Look for the “Trademarks” section on the website. This is where you will find information related to trademark applications and registrations.
3. Trademark Search/Status Portal:
Within the Trademarks section, there should be a Related Link section for searching and checking the status of trademarks. Click on “Trade Mark Status.” A new website will open titled “Trademark Registry.”
4. Enter Application Number:
You may need to enter the application number assigned to your trademark application. This number is typically provided to you at the time of filing the application.
5. Submit and View Trademark Application Status:
After entering the application number, submit the information. The system should then provide you with the current status of your trademark application.

Click on Trademark Indexes and select Registered Trademark or Pending marks and then type your trademark name and select the class, enter the captcha, and search.
Keep in mind that the process may vary slightly as the website interface is updated over time. If you encounter any difficulties or if the process has changed, you may want to check the official website or contact the Trademarks Office for assistance.
Additionally, as of my last update in January 2022, the IPO had introduced an online portal called “Public Search of Trademark” for checking the status of trademark applications. You can explore this portal for the most up-to-date information.
