WHAT IS A SALES FUNNEL?
Follow these steps to fix up your sales funnel?
WHAT METRICS TO LOOK OUT FOR?
CPC- CPC is COST PER LINK CLICK to your site. You want this number to be low
but there’s a catch. Since CPC is dependent on CPM, this metric might be
deceiving. Low CPC does not always mean good product or good advertisement. It
could mean that CPM was low which also means that your audience quality is probably
not that good.
CPM- COST PER 1000 IMPRESSIONS
CTR- OUTBOUND CLICK THROUGH RATE
CTR is the number of click divided by impressions. It shows you the rate
at which people click after viewing.
VAWT- VIDEO AVERAGE WATCH TIME is the average length of time somebody viewed
your video. You want this number to be high as possible, but it does not necessarily
mean that people want to buy. It just show that people are interested in your
video.
Ultimately, if your CPC, CTR and VAWT are bad, there are only two possible
reasons:
1. People aren’t interested in your product
2. Your advertisement is not good
Since these metrics are gathered before the Step 2 of the funnel, and are
not good numbers then you have to work on improving these. The first step of
the funnel has two big elements, your product and advertisement. (also your page name and thumbnail)
