Flipkart is known for its friendly seller policies and programs to simplify the selling process. On 13th July 2022, Flipkart again come with an impactful policy and Rate card changes which is going to help sellers grow on this platform.

In this article we will discuss in detail all the major policy changes and rate card changes.

In our endeavor to help you grow on Flipkart and reduce your cost of doing business, following are the 2 major policy changes that Flipkart has introduced.

1. One Platform, One Settlement

  • Rate Card Simplification
  • One final Settlement Value

Simplification of Rate Card

Following are the changes in the rate card (Applicable from July 13,2022).

  • There will be One Shipping Fee across all Zones (irrespective of Local/Zonal/National).
  • Single Fixed charges + Commission irrespective of type of orders.
  • One CLEAR final Settlement value for a product.

One Final Settlement

With the application of new rate card, you you get one final settlement value whether its a FBF/NFBF or NFBF + Non-FA Listings. Which means you can see a fixed settlement value and not any product settlement range.

2. Reduction in Selling Costs

Reduced and flat return costs:

Smart fulfilment is leading to additional operations cost for sellers. Hence we are discontinuing SMART Fulfilment.  Up to 15% lesser Flat Return charges to select sellers- shipment weight <500 gms and ASP<1000. Lesser Return Charge = more profits, keep returns below vertical average

New eligibility criteria on F-assured:

(Effective August 01, 2022): Sellers need to follow the New Eligibility criteria to claim an FAssured badge in the future.

Catalog cost reduction:

Catalog creation support through Image editing services. Create professional catalog images by converting flat tabletop shot attire into model shot images, remove unwanted background from product images and create catalog-worthy images without any huge cost.

Optional use of green packaging:

The use of green packaging materials has been made optional across PAN India
except for Maharashtra sellers.
Flipkart has given the liberty to the sellers to continue using green packaging
materials or plastic bags for all shipments.
