Head of marketing and growth at Shopsy by Flipkart, Madhuvanthi Ananth said that they wanted to draw attention to the campaign and they wanted to make the narrative of the advertisement to be over-the-top in order to stand out in the crowd.

Shopsy is primarily targeting non-metro markets as this is the segment of customers who are looking forward to online shopping. The platform needs to match their expectation. So the product being offered on the platform need to be affordable yet good in quality.

If you talk about the consumer base on Shopsy, presently 65% of the consumer belongs to Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
Shopsy has seen a 1.4x growth in the consumer base belonging to the Northern and Western regions of India.

Today’s office has over 2.5 lakh sellers across India on the platform and over 150 million products listed on it.

“We were targeting 100 million users on Shopsy by 2023 based on the customer traction. But now we have already crossed that number ahead of the target,” said Adarsh Menon. Adarsh Menon is the senior vice president and head, of new businesses (Shopsy, Cleartrip, ReCommerce) at Flipkart, in an interview.
