Shopsy, which is owned by Flipkart, has onboarded Sara Ali Khan as Shopsy Brand ambassador.
Head of marketing and growth at Shopsy by Flipkart, Madhuvanthi Ananth said that they wanted to draw attention to the campaign and they wanted to make the narrative of the advertisement to be over-the-top in order to stand out in the crowd.

The team wanted someone who can do justice to the creative. Having seen the work that Sara Ali Khan has done we could think of any but her only as the best choice.
The campaign emphasizes Shopsy’s value propositions of accessibility and affordability across a wide range of products with a focus on the female consumer segment.
Shopsy is primarily targeting non-metro markets as this is the segment of customers who are looking forward to online shopping. The platform needs to match their expectation. So the product being offered on the platform need to be affordable yet good in quality.

Sara Ali Khan said that she’s thrilled to be part of this Shopsy campaign, as she personally loves shopping online.
She was very excited about getting a great deal. The Youth of India is also looking for a platform like Sopsy which is trustworthy, accessible and affordable.

Today’s office has over 2.5 lakh sellers across India on the platform and over 150 million products listed on it.
“We were targeting 100 million users on Shopsy by 2023 based on the customer traction. But now we have already crossed that number ahead of the target,” said Adarsh Menon. Adarsh Menon is the senior vice president and head, of new businesses (Shopsy, Cleartrip, ReCommerce) at Flipkart, in an interview.
